individuals or families residing in the parish.
Apart from William Smith and Francis Festing, the
people included here are very ordinary. Indeed, most
of them were paupers at some time in their lives.
Much of the information relating to them has been
gathered from Settlement Examinations. Whilst not
claimed to be typical, it does show how some people
lived and died.
